Frequently asked questions
What is World Leaders Daily?
A free, daily-updated record of the public schedules of 476 presidents, prime ministers, governors, mayors and heads of international organisations across 107 countries, compiled automatically from public office sources and labelled aggregators. Every record links back to its source page; publication and occurrence dates are distinguished.
Where does the data come from?
Configured government websites, press offices, diaries and labelled secondary schedule aggregators. Every record links to its source. Office publications and confirmed personal appearances are distinguished.
How often is the site updated?
Every day. The whole site is rebuilt from its sources daily, and each page shows when it was last updated.
Is it free to use, and can I reuse the data?
Yes on both counts. The site is free and the data is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence — cite World Leaders Daily and, where possible, link the underlying linked source. Per-leader RSS and iCalendar feeds are available.
Why is a leader's page empty or sparse?
An empty page can reflect a failed retrieval, quarantined items, a source without a public diary, or a collection gap. Consult the source coverage panel; collector failures are ungraded in the scorecard.
Content updated · sources and retrieval health are documented on the coverage dashboard.
