How we track world leaders' daily schedules

Published Wednesday, May 20, 2026 · World Leaders Daily · #methodology #transparency

We collect public office publications and available diaries, with primary sources and attributed aggregators identified on the coverage dashboard.

Dates and identity

Stable source-item identities retain publication timestamps, updates and revisions. Occurrence dates and venue evidence are separate fields. An office publication can span historical tenures and is not automatically assigned to the current officeholder. Named-person attribution requires source evidence.

Daily collection

The local process refreshes sources, quarantines suspicious records and runs integrity checks before the site and downloads are published. Failed sources serve labelled cached archives. A successful empty fetch, an outage and an untracked public diary have distinct meanings.

Reuse and verification

Versioned research downloads include a field dictionary, checksums, provenance and citation instructions. Every accepted record links to its source. Automated extraction remains reviewable through record-level correction links.
