Newsroom and research tools

Build a sourced timeline, reuse filtered records and cite a reproducible snapshot.

Use office IDs to select institutional records; personal attendance and identity still depend on each record’s evidence. A publication timestamp and an occurrence date are different fields. Unknown dates and stages remain unknown in these tools.

Build a filtered timeline

Select several options with Ctrl/Command or your device’s selection menu. Any choice within a group can match; different groups must all match. Leave a group empty for all records. Topic labels come from automated keyword matching.

Choose at most 30 offices or countries per query. Countries match the office’s country; a country merely mentioned in an article is not a country-filter match.

The embed displays public, source-linked records and attribution. It uses no form submissions, personal watchlist storage or analytics. Its preview is limited to 20 records; the API total tells you when more matching records exist.

Filtered public API

GET /api/records returns JSON; GET /api/feed.xml returns RSS. The API serves the accepted published snapshot, not a new source fetch. No API key is required.

/api/records?offices=ca-pm&topics=climate-energy&dated=event&from=2026-01-01&limit=20
ParameterMeaning
offices, countries, topicsComma-separated office IDs, country ISO2 codes, and automated topic IDs. OR within a group; AND between groups.
kind, statusComma-separated record kinds and evidence statuses. Confirmed meetings/calls: kind=in_person_meeting,phone_call,video_call and status=confirmed.
datedevent, publication or any (default). Publication-only records cannot match an event-date query.
from, to, searchInclusive YYYY-MM-DD date bounds; search text up to 200 characters.
limit, offset1–100 records (RSS at most 50); offset 0–10000. Follow pagination.next_offset until null. Beyond this offset range use full snapshot downloads.

JSON includes schema_version, generated_at, dataset_version, applied filters, pagination, records and topic_definitions. Records retain immutable item IDs, publication and occurrence dates, evidence snippets, actor attribution and publisher links. record_url points to the accepted office schedule JSON; source_url points to the original publisher. Compact evidence is an excerpt; inspect the source and full download before publishing a claim.

Broad full-text searches are limited to four data shards and 6 MiB per query. If the API returns a scan-limit error, narrow the office, country, topic or date filters, or search the versioned research download. A rejected query never represents a complete result.

Underlying publications retain their source rights. Credit World Leaders Daily for the dataset and the original publisher for factual claims. The notebook demonstrates reproducibility; it does not imply editorial validation of every row.

Reporting and editorial review

Authored briefings distinguish reviewed work from automated summaries. Prepare an editorial submission with the evidence, author and review information required before publication.
